Ontario, Canada
8th July

Today I met with Neil Fraser who had kindly invited me to lunch at the Royal Canadian Military Institute.

As you would perhaps expect a lot of military display and the one on the left contains a Victoria Cross

Their library surely contains a very impressive collection of material including all the British Army lists

And here is Neil Fraser (on the right) standing with the librarian

They still have a card index system but the librarian knows where everything is. The library can be visited as long as you arrange your visit with them usually at least 3 days ahead

Some of these rooms can be hired for the day for a meeting or special event but usually only through a member of the club

And this is the bar where the bell is rung when you want to buy everyone in the bar a drink! :-)

And it was now time to say goodbye to Neil and to thank him very much for a lovely lunch and tour of his club where I also met some really great folk whose names as usual for me I can't remember.
