I don't know if you are aware that Lt Gen Andrew Brooke Leslie (Ret) now part of the Canadian Govt is the grandson of Gen Andrew George Latta Mc Naughton whose son Edward Murray Dalzel Leslie Brg Gen FDSO CD took the name of his uncle James Norman Stuart Leslie. Col RCA to inherit his estate.

James Norman Stuart Leslie was a direct descendant of Capt James Leslie 15th Reg of Foot who served at Louisburg and Quebec who returned to Scotland and his son James Leslie came to Canada and was the Dean of the Senate.

Capt James Leslie of the 15th Reg of Foot was my 4th Great Granduncle.
