I'd note that HandyBros came to replace my
Humidifier under warranty, However the technician then gave different
advice on how to run the system which means that all three technicians
that have visited me all had different ideas on how it should be setup.
In my view this shows a lack of training
by the company. There really should be only one way to setup the
system not three or more. Also, the fact that the previous technician
who came to do my semi annual inspection didn't even notice the
humidifier was broken also calls into question the training standards of
the company.
I would also add that given I was told
that this new system would give me peace of mind for 10 years
warranty coverage of the system and that I'd not need to pay anything
for this period as all was covered under warranty then they provide me
with a two sided leaflet headed...
Enhanement - 0-4 years
In which they say "The equipment enhancement age in the time period
where we want to protect the equipment and ensure the longest life span
possible. Enhancement components installed in the first 4 - 5 years can
add more than 5 years to the overall expected lifespan. These
enhancements are not required but are solely for the purpose of getting
the maximum lifespan out of existing equipment and preventing external
damage from happening.
They go onto list items that can be
upgraded or added like...
If they were the best company then you'd
expect them to add all these items to the initial install and also
negotiate a better price to get it all added to your system right from
the start.
I can only conclude that they are con
artists of the very worst degree. And so I conclude that their
charitable work is also a con as clearly they con enough people to pay
out lots of extra money to enable them to afford to give out charitable
work which they get great publicity for.
You really can't trust this company.
Of course their main competitor Postma is
also very expensive which is why i ended up going to Case Plumbing for
my plumbing work.

Editor: I saw on TV that Donald Trump was
at a NATO meeting and was demanding that officials and nations show him
respect.
I quickly remembered Chatham's own Jamie
Bedford (son of a well liked and respected long-serving Chatham police
officer, the late Jim Bedford). Jamie liked to wear his plain-coloured
T-shirt with wording on the front. There were large letters that spelled
"Respect" and below that it said "Give it" and then "Get it".
What simple words and what a powerful
message.
Poor Mr. Trump. He doesn't realize that
you can't force or buy respect... you have to earn respect.

This reminds me of the two fellows

As part of the Belfor team they used a
Gavin Clowater (Tel: 519 350 5261) to do some trim work, dry walling and
painting. I must say he did a very good job and do contact him if
you need this kind of work done and he also does flooring and some basic
electrical work as well.
I do need some guttering work done and
Belfor recommended Jem Roofing so will see if they can come out to look
at doing some work for me and will let you know how this goes.
What I need is the top guttering cleaned
at the back of the house but Jem doesn't do that kind of work so still
looking for someone to do that.
My friend Nola Crewe came down to attend a
funeral in the local area and so put her up for a couple of nights and
lent her my car. That meant I needed to get a taxi to my
appointment with the Anjema Eye Institute for my regular 6 weekly eye
injection. Cost $20.00 each way and used two different taxi
companies and it was the exact same price so looks like there may be a
price cartel in this area. Just saying.
Should also mention that my local handiman
(Doug) also cleaned my internal walls in the kitchen, living room and
hallway and did some painting to freshen things up. He did a good
job. I actually thought I would need to repaint the walls but giving
them a good wash down meant it wasn't needed.
